Soft serve has landed at the deli

We’ve just installed a new ice cream machine at the Deli, bringing classic vanilla soft serve to the menu for the first time. It’s simple, nostalgic, and slightly dangerous in the way anything this easy to enjoy tends to be.

It’s something that takes you back. The faint jingle of the ice cream van, that sudden realisation it’s on your street, and the full-speed sprint you definitely weren’t planning on doing five seconds earlier. Only to arrive slightly too late and be met with the world’s most devastating “we’re just heading off.” This time, though, there’s no chasing involved. It’s right here when you want it.

We have two special ‘pour overs’ available:

The Affogato

Simple and very good. Hot espresso poured over vanilla soft serve so it melts into something rich, warm, and slightly messy in the best possible way. Finished with a chocolate drizzle.

The Matcha Affogato

A little fresher, a little more unexpected. Earthy matcha poured over soft serve brings a gentle bitterness that works surprisingly well with the sweetness of the vanilla. Topped with berry compote drizzle sauce.
